Port City Bowling Club is a welcoming, family‑friendly venue where families can enjoy our facilities together. We are committed to providing a safe, comfortable and inclusive environment for all members and guests. To comply with the requirements of the NSW Liquor Act, the following guidelines apply to all minors on Club premises.
Supervision Requirements
- All minors (under 18 years of age) must always remain in the immediate vicinity of their parent or legal guardian.
- Leaving a minor unattended anywhere on Club premises is an offence under the Liquor Act.
- Groups of minors must be always supervised by one responsible adult for every four (4) minors.
Permitted Areas & Times- Children are welcome in designated dining areas, provided they are under the direct supervision of a parent or guardian.
- Minors are not permitted in the following areas:
- The gaming room
- Tiled areas directly in front of the bar
- In accordance with NSW liquor laws, minors are not permitted to approach the bar or be served, including for water or soft drinks.
- Minors will be required to vacate the premises at 10pm, this excludes organised functions.
Safety & Behaviour Expectations- For safety reasons, all children must wear shoes at all times while on Club premises.
- Parents and guardians are responsible for their children’s behaviour and safety.
- While children are encouraged to enjoy their visit, disruptive, unsafe or inappropriate behaviour may result in the family being asked to leave to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of all patrons.
- We ask that noise levels be kept at a respectful level for the benefit of all guests.
Car Park Safety- Under the Children and Young Persons (Care & Protection) Act, leaving a child unsupervised in the car park or in areas near the car park is strictly prohibited.
These guidelines have been developed to prioritise the safety and wellbeing of children, support responsible supervision, and maintain a positive and respectful environment for all members and visitors to Port City Bowling Club.
